Longboarding in the winter

The ground may be covered with snow, but we refuse to let our skateboards sit in the corner and collect dust. Here's a video of the gang skating a parking garage way back in November and a sample of the many photos that were taken last night during a session at the same garage. Unfortunately, it wasn't nearly as dry as we had expected and the session was short-lived. Nevertheless, we did manage some good photographs.

So, I'm back in Waterloo and it feels pretty good.

My return flight was a fairly terrible experience. The runway in Regina was icy, so we had to wait well over two hours before we could take off. My stomach was rebelling against the disgusting airport muffin that I had for breakfast that morning and I was running on only two hours of sleep. When we arrived in Toronto, half of the passengers (including myself) were delighted to discover that, in order to lighten the plane, Air Canada had decided to remove our luggage from the flight. So, for almost thirty hours, I was without computer and toothbrush, among other things. Because of all these delays, I then missed my shuttle to Waterloo and didn't arrive until supper time. All in all, it was an aggravating experience. Well done Air Canada.

While I was at Evan's over the holidays, his water main broke, leaving us without running water for 24 hours. The following is a brief glimpse of the rigours we experienced:



Also, here are the latest exploits of Mr. Captain Super. John recommends listening to "O Green World" by Gorillaz while watching it. Watch Mr. C.S. for long enough and he'll even look back at you (I'm not joking).
